The Open Approach Facilitates Sale of Hilltop Press
The Open Approach has announced the ownership change of Hilltop Press to Multiple Packaging Solutions (MPS). As exclusive agent for Hilltop Press, The Open Approach identified optimal growth partners, secured interest, streamlined due diligence, negotiated financial terms, and oversaw the complete transaction. From engagement to contract execution, the process took just nine months—exceeding seller expectations for time as well as incentives and deal terms.

The sale provides the high-end specialty sheetfed printer significant growth potential from MPS's national exposure, cross-selling opportunities, and extensive distribution network. For MPS, the acquisition rounds off its vast product/service lineup by adding unique substrate print capabilities and ancillary services—high-customer-demand offerings with attractive profit margins. Financing for the deal was provided by Bear Stearns.
